Ag is currently located in Hartford, SD but will be moving to Humboldt, SD in the spring.

Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for providing consistent leadership in all areas of the Company. Key responsibilities include focusing on providing accurate and timely financial reporting; cost and inventory accounting; bill of material accuracy; oversight of product development; day to day supervision and execution of accounting transactions; management of treasury operations; profitability of the businesses; ensuring compliance with all federal, multi-state, and local regulations and Standard Operating Procedures; and safeguarding of the company’s assets.

This position will support and facilitate the smooth and efficient running of Accounting and Finance. This is a full-time, Exempt position and will work closely with the leadership team of the Companies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Meets with and reports to the President about the company’s daily operation, as well as about the Presidents’s vision for any upcoming adjustments or developments to business operations strategy, or other company goals and objectives

• Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implement organization wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
• Oversee company operations and employee productivity, maintaining the organizations core values and culture that ensure the team can thrive and all company goals are met
• Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
• Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary
• Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
• Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with President
• Oversee operations, HR, and accounting, sales management so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted for near-term growth targets
• Manage capital investments and expenses to ensure that the Company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability
• Monitor performance and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts
• Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
• Oversees key projects, build, and maintain trusting relationships with key partners

Experience, Skills, and Education

• Task and goal oriented and capable of functioning in an entrepreneurial, creative, innovative and corporate retail setting
• 8-10 years of work experience as General Manager in a retail or wholesale setting
• Bachelor’s Degree with preference of MBA
• Proficiency in Excel
• Excellent leadership skills

Work Hours and Location

This position is full time and located at the Company’s corporate office in Humboldt, SD.
